The Clayton Center, the Town of Clayton and Johnston County Public Schools continue to build their partnership to allow students to discover the magic of live theatre.
The school performances offered by The Clayton Center are free to schools and are designed to engage students as they discover the excitement of the performing arts while learning valuable lessons that can then be applied to their classroom learning. Arts education is important at all grade levels — live performances inspire students to view their world more creatively and to connect with literature and other areas of study more deeply.
Last year, more than 2,000 students enjoyed field trips to see shows at The Clayton Center. This coming year students in all grade levels will be served between 2 performances — Buckets & Boards and The Storytelling of Donna Washington.
