While patrolling Glen Laurel Road on Monday, January 18, 2009, Clayton Police Officer M. Phillips discovered a structure fire in the Summerlyn subdivision at 6:04 AM. The Clayton Fire Department was summoned and arrived to find a house under construction at 102 Rolling Meadows Drive on fire with flames showing through the roof. The Fire Department extinguished the blaze.

An adjacent house under construction at 116 Rolling Meadows Drive was found to have been entered also, and attempts to set a fire inside that building were discovered.
