On Wednesday (03/28/07) at approximately 1:18 AM, the TradeWilco convenience store on 42 East was broken into and the suspects attempted to steal the ATM machine.  The video surveillance tape shows a dark green over silver GMC Jimmy as it backs into the front doors shattering them and then pulls forward.  The burglars hooked a chain from the vehicle to the ATM and attempted to pull it out, but were unsuccessful as the chain snapped.  No items were stolen, but considerable damage was done to the store.

On March 30, 2007 Clayton Police Detectives located and arrested Lucas Tyler Davis of Smithfield, NC.  He was SUSPECT 1 in this breaking and entering and is currently in custody at the Johnston County Jail.

His accomplice is still at large and is described as a Black Male, Slim to medium build with a red t-shirt and dark long pants.
